Experience

I recently graduated with my M.Ed (Master of Education), and have been tutoring in the private setting for about six years now. My passion for teaching came from my love of learning new things, and my enjoyment in teaching others subjects that they have difficulty with. Going to graduate school, I know the amount of work and dedication it takes to succeed and do well, and as such am very dedicated to helping others prosper. I've had experience working with individuals of all ages from children in kindergarten, to teenagers in high school, as well as those who are disabled and have special needs. I further have had the chance to work extensively with individuals on the spectrum, as well as those with ADHD. I specialize in tutoring math, for grades k-12, (Algebra I happens to be one of my favorite math subjects), as well as English, Reading, Essay Writing, Grammar, FCAT test prep , and Study Skills . When working with students I like to take a collaborative approach, to ensure that the students I am tutoring are truly understanding the material the two of us are working on. This approach additionally is helpful for me, as the tutor, as it allows me to gauge the pace of the student I am working with and adapt our sessions accordingly. I love to learn new things, and happen to enjoy teaching others subjects that they have difficulty with.
